Formatting a Disk or Drive 

To format a drive, please follow these steps:

a. IMPORTANT: Back up all data on the drive to either
your hard drive or another drive.

ALL data will be lost when the drive is reformatted.

b. Open MY COMPTER - Click START > MY COMPUTER.

b. Right-click the icon for the drive to be formatted
and choose FORMAT.

c. File System Choices: FAT, FAT32 or NTFS
(NOTE: Users can get the most security using NTFS
formatting, however it is only available for removable
storage disks using either the Vista or Windows 7
Operating Systems.)

d. Click START.
