Alert Level Settings

The alert level determines how often StopSign Firewall displays alerts about network events:

1. Never

2. Only for defined events (default)

3. For all events

An example of an alert is shown below.

To change the alert level:

1. Select START > EACCELERATION > StopSign > FIREWALL

2. Select Options > Settings to display the Settings window.

3. In the General tab, click the drop-down menu in the Alert Level field and select an option:

   • No Alerts

   • Show defined alerts

   • Show alerts for all events

4. Set the time for the alert window timeout (how long the window is displayed before automatically closing). (Default: 30 seconds)

5. Set the appearance StopSign Firewall:

   • Remember last visited snap-in (sections on left in Firewall [Summary, Active Connections, Policy, etc.])

     • opens Firewall in same section that was open when Firewall was closed

   • Always on top (keeps Firewall top of open windows)

6. Click OK to save your settings.
