How do I block all popups?

Using StopSign Popup Blocker, follow these instructions to block all popup windows in Internet Explorer.

  1. Open the eAcceleration Software Station:

    • Click Start > Programs > eAcceleration > eAcceleration Software Station. In eAcceleration Software Station, click the StopSign icon, then Popup Blocker.

  2. Make sure that the checkbox beside "Enable Popup Blocker" is checked.

  3. Click Settings.

  4. Click Aggressive Mode. When prompted, click OK, then OK again to close the window.

Please note - In the StopSign  Popup Blocker Settings dialog box - in addition to editing the Blocked Popups list - you may also edit the Allowed Popups list and Safe Websites list. You may add or remove URLs from any of these three default listings.

  1. Open Internet Explorer and click Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. Make sure that the box beside "Enable third-party browser extensions" is checked.

  2. Close and reopen Internet Explorer.

Note: These instructions will block any advertising popup in Internet Explorer. They will not affect any adware programs that already exist on your computer, and may not be compatible with other Internet browsers. Your paid StopSign Threat Scanner will remove all forms of popup adware advertising.
