Common StopSign Scan Result Messages
Are the results SPYWARE COOKIES or just COOKIES?
Though they may reappear based on your web browsing habits, StopSign will remove the cookies from your system each time it scans. The cookies themselves are not dangerous, the information culled is used to direct advertising links on the web pages you frequent or is used to tell you where you have visited on a website.
Is the file QUARANTINED?
.dat and .log files are not scanned - .dat and .log files are in constant use, and are constantly being changed - because they are part of your operating system. However, if you do not want to see these messages in the future, change the Threat Scanner settings to skip "SHOW SCANNING LOG".
You will also see notices when a threat is "deleted" or "cured".
